Our Commitment

VPR Pharmacy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We recognise our responsibility to identify and respond appropriately to any concerns about abuse, neglect, exploitation or other forms of harm.

Our pharmacy team is trained to recognise safeguarding concerns and will act in accordance with our safeguarding procedures and legal responsibilities.

All safeguarding concerns are treated seriously, handled confidentially where appropriate, and assessed in accordance with our safeguarding policy. Where necessary, we may share information with relevant healthcare professionals or statutory authorities to help protect individuals from harm.

In an Emergency

If you believe that someone is in immediate danger or requires urgent assistance, do not delay.

Call 999 and ask for the Police or Ambulance Service.

If the concern is not an emergency but requires urgent advice, contact your local authority safeguarding team or NHS 111.

Confidentiality

We respect patient confidentiality at all times. However, where there is a concern that a child or vulnerable adult may be at risk of significant harm, information may be shared with the appropriate authorities without consent where this is necessary and permitted by law.
